This video deserves a story....

We rescued Itchie from our local animal control. We had never owned a Mini Dachshund before so we did a lot of reading and asking questions. The main thing we were told was to keep him away from our bunnies, especially the little ones. We had been told Dachshunds will kill any small livestock it can get to. Well, Itchie didn't read THAT book. We soon found out that he not only loves our bunnies (including the newborns), but he will defend them to the death! So, we didn't even have a second thought when it came time for us to halter train the spring lambs, that Itchie would do anything but stay faaaar away from those big ol' things. BOY were we wrong! Shianne was having trouble with this particular "wild" lamb, she wouldn't walk, if you even gently pulled on her halter she would flop on her side, as if to say, "drag me, I'm not moving!" Well, Itchie was watching all this happen, and he ran over and decided to give a helping hand. Needless to say, we never had a problem with her walking, as long as Itchie was anywhere in sight!........
