1st Meeting October 16, 2008-
Introductions were made.. Welcome to all our new and returning members! We passed out information on the upcoming year's activities, filled out emergency forms, and our new members decided what breeds they were interested in getting.

Entries must be post marked by Oct. 30th if you are showing animals.

2nd Meeting November 13, 2008-
Discussed upcoming 4-H 'Fur and Feathers' show. Showmanship demonstration, and practice. Briefly went over rabbit facts/trivia.
3rd Meeting December 11, 2008-
Discussed upcoming Santa Barbara Show. Judging demonstration, and hands on judging classes.
4th Meeting January 12th, 2009-
We practiced showmanship, discussed upcoming shows, and what judges are looking for when showing your rabbit.
5th Meeting February 19th, 2009-
We check everyone's bunnies, and discussed proper nutrition. Worked on rabbit anatomy. Passed out and discussed record book information for our project. Upcoming show- Santa Maria Fairgrounds.

6th Meeting March 12th, 2009~
We worked on rabbit show terms & trivia, showmanship, and discussed the upcoming shows.
7th Meeting April 16th, 2009~
We filled out our entries for 4-H Exhibit Day (@ Nojoqui Falls).. Showmanship practice. Went over questions asked during showmanship. Breed specific disqualifications.
Make up meeting April 17th, 2009~ Showmanship workshop
8th Meeting May 14th, 2009~ Discussed fair entries, how to do it, what to bring. Fair catalogs can be picked up at Farm Supply, or the Fairgrounds office on Thornburg. To view the online catalog, click HERE to begin entering your entries, click HERE
There will be NO exceptions. These are not our rules, they are fair rules. And because of last year's drama they will not bend.

1st Meeting January 22, 2009~
Discussed supplies needed for raising the turkey poults, proper feeds (you should be feeding 28% protein at this time). When and where to get the poults. Worked on turkey anatomy and terms.
2nd Meeting February 26, 2009~
We went over turkey anatomy, and how to care for our poults, briefly discussed 4-H Exhibit Day at Nojoqui Falls. Discussed some of the diseases turkeys can get.

Worked on showmanship, turkey facts for showmanship, and discussed up coming 4-H Exhibit Day.
5th Meeting May 21, 2009 @ 6:00pm~ Signed and worked on record books, completed fair entries. Worked on turkey knowledge.
6th Meeting June 18th, 2009 @ 4:30 if you are coming to watch washing demo, or 5:30 for everyone else.
